Javed Akhtar on Gurmehar Kaur issue
The Delhi University student Gurmehar Kaur, who created a stir on social media with her post on ABVP saw Bollywood actor Randeep Hooda, cricketer Virender Sehwag and Olympic bronze medal winning wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt trolling her. Lyricist Javed Akhtar recently took to Twitter, to express his opinion on the row. Without naming Dutt or Sehwag, Akhtar wrote, "If a hardly literate player or a wrestler troll a pacifist daughter of a martyr its understandable but whats wrong with some educated folks." He went on to post a series of tweets, in one of which he also took aim at the government saying, "Mr minister , you have condemned the left by falsely accusing them for celebrating soldiers killing n not a word about ABVP.
Grossly biased."
Earlier in the day, filmmaker Pooja Bhatt took a swipe at Randeep Hooda who had supported Sehwag's troll aimed at Gurmehar Kaur, who is a Kargil martyr's daughter.
