Luv Sinha shares a throwback picture with Shatrughan Sinha after Sonakshi Sinha's cryptic post on tolerance and inclusivity

Sonakshi Sinha recently sparked speculations about the current dynamics in the Sinha family after her inter-faith wedding to her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. While her brother Luv Sinha has been in the news for not attending his sister's wedding, he delighted his Instagram followers by sharing a nostalgic throwback photo with his father, Shatrughan Sinha.

The picture was clicked at an award show in 2012, where Luv was seen posing with his father wearing a quirky suit. He re-shared the image on his Instagram Stories and admitted, “2012? I have no idea what I was thinking when I wore this.” He used the ‘My Daddy’ song from Cocomelon to express his admiration for his father.

The post, which was originally shared with the title 'Things they should teach in school', came shortly after Sonakshi shared a post advocating for tolerance and inclusivity, which reads, "How to know when to keep voice down or completely shut (Airplanes, movie theatres). How to know when you don’t get what you want. To instil a deep concern for the environment. To live and let live, literally and metaphorically. The utter and total importance of kindness and inclusiveness in a rapidly insular world. To know that contrary opinions to yours can exist, and they do. And to be a more tolerant young human being.”




Coinciding with these events, Luv Sinha had earlier shared, and subsequently deleted, a controversial post on Twitter regarding Sonakshi’s father-in-law, Iqbal Ratansi. The deleted post referenced Ratansi's political connections and hinted at past controversies. Luv had shared an excerpt from an article, stating, “With carefully curated news stories about his family business, nobody tread grey areas like the groom’s father’s proximity to a politician whose ED enquiries had vanished in the ‘washing machine’. Nor was there a whiff of the groom’s father’s stint in Dubai….”

Luv clarified his stance, explaining that the controversial quote was not his own but taken from a journalist’s article. He wrote, “The quote that is being incorrectly attributed to me is not my statement, and was written in an article by a senior journalist. The matter is now closed, and I will not be commenting on it any further.”



Sonakshi and Zaheer got married on June 23 in the presence of their loved ones at their residence in Mumbai. The civil wedding was followed by a wedding bash at Bastian which saw numerous Bollywood celebrities including Salman Khan, Vidya Balan with Siddharth Roy Kapur, and veteran actress Saira Banu, among others in attendance.
