And while fans are waiting with bated breath to watch the ex-couple together on screen, there is one more actress in the film who has kept us intrigued. The trailer of the film shows Kartik romancing Sara Ali Khan in today’s time and Arushi Sharma in the 1990s.
Arushi is making her big Bollywood debut with the Imtiaz Ali directorial ‘Love Aaj Kal’.Ahead of the release of the film tomorrow, let’s take a look at some interesting facts about the debutant that you simply should know!

Actor Kartik Aaryan was pursuing an engineering degree in biotechnology when he dabbled in modeling and made attempts to start a career in film. And much like her co-star Arushi Sharma too was an engineering student who is all set to kick start her career in the showbiz.
Speaking about working with Kartik in the film, she reportedly said that as even the actor is an engineer, it was like meeting an old buddy. She also stated that Kartik is a good co-star who elevated her performance too. According to the actress, he is someone who can stay focussed in chaos.

While ‘Love Aaj Kal’ is Arushi Sharma’s debut film in Bollywood as one of the leads, this is not her first film in the Hindi film industry. For the unversed, Arushi played a small role in Imtiaz’s Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer ‘Tamasha’. Arushi played the role of Sanjukta, the history teacher, in the film.

While many things inspire an individual to become an actor, for Arushi, it was her cameo in ‘Tamasha’. According to reports, soon after her cameo stint in the Ranbir Kapoor and Deepika Padukone starrer, Arushi confessed her will to pursue acting as a career to Imtiaz Ali.
Arushi in an interview said, “I went up to him (Imtiaz Ali) and told him I would love to do movies.” Speaking about her, Imtiaz told in an interview that he has known her for years. He also thanked casting director Mukesh Chhabra for bringing the charming lady in the film.

Like most of the budding actors out there, it was not easy for Arushi Sharma to bag the role in movies. The young actress reportedly sent out audition tapes to casting directors while she worked in a nine-to-five job in Gurgaon.

After recognising her calling in acting and movies, Arushi Sharma got on to the road to showbiz. While she sent out tapes to casting directors, she also featured in a video for a web portal.
