Jai Ho choreographer Longinus Fernandes was expected to be in Delhi yesterday, but couldn’t make it. When we asked him why, he said, “I’m busy shooting in Kashmir for my next Bollywood movie Main Joker, with Rajeev Khandelwal and Prachi Desai. I’ve done the choreography for this movie. Sadly, I had to miss my visit to Delhi. I was supposed to attend a function for which I had choreographed a beautiful performance from the movie Iqbal, for 30 underprivileged children.
I was in Delhi between May 4 and 8, and enjoyed training the children. I would have loved to watch them perform.” Be that as it may, much is keeping Longinus busy. He’s been invited to the Aruba Film festival in June to give a talk on Bollywood dance and its impact on cinema worldwide. He’s also choreographed for the Hollywood movie Eat, Pray, Love, and says, “The movie will release end of this year and probably Julia Roberts will be back in India, along with the cast and crew.”
