Lolo derives her name from Italian actress

The older of Randhir and Babita Kapoor’s two daughters – Karisma Kapoor – derives her nickname Lolo from Italian actress Gina Lollobrigida. Lolo’s tryst with showbiz began way before her acting debut in the early 90s, when as a child, she would often accompany her parents to film premieres and related events.
The picture captured by lensman Shyam Aurangabadkar at one such do has mommy Babita giving baby Lolo an affectionate peck even as daddy Randhir looks on dotingly.At seventeen, Lolo was but the second girl from the Kapoor clan to set foot on the silver screen after Shashi Kapoor’s daughter Sanjana. And she made quite an impression with a string of commercial hits in the 90s, followed by a couple of critically acclaimed films in 2000 and 2001.
After tying the knot with industrialist Sunjay Kapur in 2003, Lolo took a long break from films. Last year, she made a comeback of sorts with Vikram Bhatt’s Dangerous Ishhq but the film garnered mixed reviews.
