Today, Supreme Court gave green-signal to a CBI probe in late actor Sushant Singh Rajput mysterious demise. The apex court ruled that FIR filed in Bihar was lawful and state govt is competent to request CBI probe. The Mumbai police have now been asked to hand over all evidence collected to the investigating agency. Fans, the family of SSR along with several Bollywood celebs took to social media to hail the SC's verdict. The court also ensured that there was no confusion about CBI being sole authority in the probe and that no other state police could interfere with it.

Supreme Court orders CBI to investigate Sushant Singh Rajput's death case: Highlights of the verdict
Supreme Court today announced that the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) will take over the probe of Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise on June 14. The Mumbai Police have been asked to hand over all evidence collected so far in the case to CBI, while the apex court also observed that the FIR in Patna, based on Sushant’s father’s complaint was correct. While Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer, senior advocate Satish Manshinde shared her statement, Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh also revealed the family’s reaction to the verdict. Agnihotri said, “Just after the judgment, I spoke to a Supreme Court lawyer he said SC took about a week to pass the judgment because they studied the entire Mumbai Police investigation and SC felt the direction of Mumbai police is not right otherwise there was everything in the legal framework was in favour of them and SC could’ve said let Mumbai police conduct the enquiry and finish it. But there was something missing or fishy and may be they were not going in the right direction and that is why SC has taken the decision and that confirms my case.”

While talking about the statement that actress and ex-girlfriend of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, Rhea Chakraborty made in the court, Bihar DGP Gupteshwar Pandey on Wednesday said "she has no stature to comment on Bihar chief minister."

“After 66 days, I am feeling relieved. I want to thank everyone who came out in support to seek CBI investigation into the case. The CBI investigation will lead to the truth in this case,” Tiwari, who was among the key persons to have demanded CBI probe into the actor’s death, said.

Reacting to the judgement, Raut said, "Those in the government who know the law, the Mumbai Police Commissioner or our Advocate General can talk about it, it is not fit for me to comment on the verdict of Supreme Court."
