Leander, who makes his debut in “Rajdhani Express”, is expected to be in Delhi soon to shoot for the remaining bit of the movie, which also stars Paresh Rawal.
The movie’s director, Ashok Kohli, tells DT that the team is waiting for shooting permissions from relevant authorities in the capital which will help them determine whether they shoot here in June or July.
1x1 polls

Two parts of the movie are slated to be shot in Delhi, says Kohli, adding that both scenes will be shot in Central Delhi. He says, “One is a motorcade scene from South Block to Central Delhi, and the other is a portion at the New Delhi Railway Station. We are waiting for our shooting permissions to come in, so that we can decide on our dates. Once the railways give us details of the possible dates, we can plan and finish our Delhi schedule accordingly.”
While a major part of the movie has been shot in Mumbai, Kohli says that the Delhi sequence was very important for the movie. He explains, “Rajdhani actually means capital and our entire movie sort of revolves around that concept. The whole story of the movie is based on the Preamble to our Constitution and it is an action thriller about the journey of a man who dares to dream. But, he also sees circumstances at face value. It is like the fight between David and Goliath, with the system being Goliath. There is also a hint of tension between central sanctioning authorities in Delhi and executives from Mumbai. So, Delhi, in the sense, is important to our narrative.”
Once the shoot in Delhi is over, Kohli wants to wrap up the movie by July end, so that they can release by August.
