Lara Dutta: The best compliment for me is that my directors can imagine me in different roles

Lara Dutta Bhupathi made a rare appearance at the celebration of her film Ishq-e-Nadaan and the wrap-up party of her second project Suryast with director Avishek Ghosh at a restaurant in Mumbai.
Lara said, “Today's occasion was special as we celebrated the success of Ishq-e-Nadaan and the wrap of our second film called Suryast. It is really nice to get together and party and meet the media.I don't really step out and don't really socialize but it is good to party once in a while.”
Avishek shared that they didn’t get the time to celebrate the success of Ishq-e-Nadaan because they had already started shooting for Suryast. He said, "We would do the promotions of our first film and then shoot our second one. After we wrapped the shoot of Suryast, we decided to celebrate both the occasions, since since Lara was also back in Mumbai."

Lara insisted on watching Ishq-e-Nadaan on OTT, which she said was a lovely and different kind of film and said, "If you liked my first film I promise you will love the second film too. For me, as an actor, it is the most exciting part. The best compliment for me is that my directors can imagine me in different kinds of roles and also write roles for me. As an actor, it is the biggest blessing."
When asked about the criteria she has while choosing a film, Lara said, “The script should be good and my character has to be interesting and of course, it is important who is making the film and how the mounting of the film is being done and if all these boxes are ticked I am in for the project.”
