The Hindi version is titled City of Gold — Mumbai 1982: Ek Ankahi Kahani. While shooting for the film both Satish and Seema had to deliver dialogues in Marathi, to meet with Mahesh’s and their own standards. Both, one Punjabi and other Bengali, were facing a bit of a challenge on this front. So, to get the diction and grammar right Mahesh advised them to learn Marathi. Mahesh even arranged for an expert to help them get the diction right! Both took the task on hand seriously, and dedicated several hours daily to perfect their pronunciation. Professionals as they are they even watched Marathi films and rehearsed with the other Marathi actors before every shot. Now that’s a trait of a true perfectionist.
