Sneha Desai, the writer of Kiran Rao's directorial venture 'Laapataa Ladies,' shared her experiences working with Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. Contrary to rumors, Sneha debunked the myth that Aamir Khan interferes in projects, emphasizing his passion and involvement in shaping productions.

Regarding the film's development, Sneha revealed to indianexpress.com that the character of Manju maai, portrayed by Chhaya Kadam, was added later at Kiran's behest. While Sneha contributed to fleshing out the character, she acknowledged Kiran's primary role in conceptualizing Manju maai.
