Kunickaa Sadanand slams trolls over AI image with Kumar Sanu; warns of defamation, says 'sharam karo, this man is happily married'

Kunickaa Sadanand has strongly reacted to trolls circulating an AI-generated image featuring her and singer Kumar Sanu. Taking to X (formerly Twitter), Kunickaa issued a sharp warning, calling out the misuse of technology and invasion of privacy.

In her post, she wrote, “Sharam karo, this man is happily married and he has kids, you should also know he has personality rights given to him by the court; you will get into trouble for this. Stop dragging him or my personal life fandom wars. Give the due respect to a person’s rights. I’m reporting you for defamation, take this down.”

Her response comes amid growing concerns around AI-generated content and personality rights violations, especially involving public figures.

A past that once made headlines

Kunickaa’s reaction also brings back memories of her much-discussed relationship with Kumar Sanu in the 90s, which had grabbed significant attention at the time. The two reportedly grew close during a difficult phase in the singer’s personal life and were often travelling together for concerts.

In a past interview, Kunickaa had said, “I was like a wife to him. I considered him my husband,” indicating the emotional depth of the relationship.

“People are saying that the affair lasted 27 years, but what she actually said was that she was 27 years old when it happened. It lasted a few years... She genuinely loves the artiste. She doesn’t love the man anymore,” he shared.

Recalling a personal conversation, he added that Kunickaa once described Kumar Sanu as a “soulmate,” but also admitted, “It was toxic. Very, very toxic.”
