Kubra Sait goes behind the mic on screen

Known to be one of the most sought-after emcees,

Kubra Sait

has hosted popular television shows and prestigious award functions. A finance graduate, she forayed into acting with the Salman Khan-starrer 'Ready' and followed it up with 'Jodi Breakers'. She will now be seen in '

Sultan

', which releases today.

Talking about how she bagged the film, Kubra says, 'I got a call from the casting director and I auditioned for a small role in the film. Later, I learnt that they were offering me a bigger and a better role and I was totally elated.' The actress plays a commentator in the film. 'There is nothing better than playing something on screen which you love doing. Because I already have several years of experience in this field, my director allowed me to improvise. He has retained many of those lines,' she adds.


Sharing her experience working with Salman, Kubra says, 'He has a great persona and there is an aura around him. He doesn't throw any starry tantrums and is chilled out.' Talking about her future plans, she says, 'I'm not someone who'd like to achieve stardom overnight. I'd love to do more films and I know I have the potential to play a long innings in the industry.'
