Kriti Sanon opens up about the situation on the set of 'Housefull 4' after #MeToo allegations against Nana Patekar and Sajid Khan

The nation was taken back by the #MeToo storm which plagued the Bollywood entertainment industry after survivors of sexual harassment came forward and brought the names of the predators to the light of the day. Many big names in the industry were accused of sexual harassment allegations which shocked the entire nation. The much anticipated fourth installment of the popular comedy franchise 'Housefull' was under production when the director Sajid Khan and actor Nana Patekar were accused in the #MeToo storm.
Lead actress Kriti Sanon recently opened up about what happened on the sets of 'Housefull 4' and the steps taken by makers post the allegations. Kriti, who is currently basking in the success of 'Luka Chuppi', revealed that producer Sajid Nadiadwala took swift action so that the film did not get affected due to it. Writer-director Farhad Samji later stepped in to direct the rest of the film.
Kriti said that the team was very concerned as to what was going to happen but at the end it was the producer's call. Kriti praised Sajid Nadiadwala for the way he handled the situation. The actress revealed the team did not stop shooting for more than two days and were back on the sets on the third day. The set was very expensive and the producer took that call and was there for the team on set every single day after that.
The 'Luka Chuppi' actress also revealed that the team finished shooting a day before the schedule was to end. Kriti also added that Farhad Samji has been on set as he was a writer of the film and was very familiar with the team. Therefore, Samji was able to take over the direction and the team then shot really important scenes including the interval and the climax after that.
'Housefull 4' stars Akshay Kumar, Kriti Sanon, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Kharbanda, Bobby Deol and Pooja Hegde in the lead roles. The film is slated to hit the screens this year around Diwali.
