Know why Sanya Malhotra wants to get back to Mumbai soon

After spending a long time in Mumbai, all by herself during the lockdown, Dangal actress Sanya Malhotra has flown down to Delhi. The actress who was missing her family, has been spending quality time with her folks in the capital. However, Sanya now feels that it is time to come back to the mega city.

She says, “I am done with this break. I really want to act now. As actors we essay other’s lives, and I am done playing my own life (in real life). It is time that I emote someone else’s.” Talking about her film projects, she says, “There are a couple of films in the pipeline, but I am not sure when the projects will go on floor.” Right before the lockdown, Sanya finished the shooting of Pagglait. The Umesh Bist directorial also stars Sayani Gupta, Ashutosh Rana and Raghubir Yadav in interesting roles.

Sanya who’s been a part of films like Pataakha, Badhaai Ho, Photograph among others, wants to explore out-and-out comedy genre. In an earlier interview with BT, she had mentioned, “I don’t want to restrict myself in a box. I want to do a dance film, a comedy film, I want to do work that will require me to prepare a lot for a particular role. I want to do films that will have me in an uncomfortable zone, pushing me to work hard for it. Fortunately, I have been lucky enough that varied roles have come my way till now and I hope it continues.”
