Ravi Kishen turned into a source of inspiration for his co-actors while shooting for the film Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal. In a scene from the film, the actor had to face the daunting task of jumping off a bridge, and that too from a height of 80 ft. The trouble was that the use of a safety harness seemed difficult as the film was being shot in the heartland of Bihar, where such facilities were not available.
But, egged on by his co-actor and debutant director Manish Vatsalya, Kishen took the plunge into the ice-cold water.
Talking about the incident, he said, “Manish and I plunged into the water together. I never thought that our action would instigate the other actors to follow suit. It was worth the effort.” Manish added, “Later, we kept gaping at the monitor. We could not believe that we had actually done the scene ourselves.”
Recalling the incident, producer Aparna Hoshing added, “Ravi was the messiah for my team as they followed his brave step. And my director Manish, who has also acted in the film, got the shot that he wanted. The camera captured every movement and we had a fantastic shot. Ravi was definitely the rock star of the day.”
Jeena Hai Toh Thok Daal is the story of a few young men who get drawn into the world of crime only to get lost in its labyrinth.
A Rash Productions Pvt Ltd offering, the film also stars Murali Sharma, Yashpal Sharma, Hazel Crowney, Pooja Welling and Rahul Kumar, among others.
The movie will release on September 14.
