Kiran Rao, the director of 'Laapataa Ladies,' openly discussed her dynamic with
Aamir Khan. Rao admitted to the shameless use of Khan's star power to support the performance of her smaller-scale films at the box office.
In an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Kiran Rao said that she is fully using Aamir Khan's fame. She uses his star power wherever she can, as they have a small film, and she needs to do everything she can to tell people. Rao accepted that she used Aamir Khan shamelessly.
The lead roles in 'Laapataa Ladies' are portrayed by Nitanshi Goel, Pratibha Ranta, Sparsh Shrivastava, Ravi Kishan, and Chhaya Kadam. Notably, the film was showcased at the Toronto International Film Festival last year, and its trailer was featured alongside the theatrical releases of the Siddharth Anand-directed aerial action drama 'Fighter', which stars Hrithik Roshan, Deepika Padukone, and Anil Kapoor.
'Laapataa Ladies' is co-produced by Jyoti Deshpande, with the script based on an award-winning story by Biplab Goswami. The film is set for release on March 1.
