Adding to his challenges, his latest release ‘Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri’ alongside Ananya Panday failed to impress at the ticket counters. In other news, reporetdly, his upcoming project 'Naagzilla' has received a key update, shifting its release from the planned August 14, 2026.

Filming is still underway

According to Bollywood Hungama, Naagzilla is still in the process of being filmed. Naagzilla’s shoot is still going on and is expected to be wrapped up in a few months. Moreover, this is a film with heavy VFX. As a result, the post-production is going to take a lot of time. The makers and lead actor Kartik are determined not to rush the post-production process. They understand that ‘Naagzilla’ is a unique film, and taking the time to perfect it before releasing it to audiences is essential.

According to reports, Naagzilla's producers are actively seeking a new release date, with an official reveal promised once finalized. The vacated August 14 Independence Day slot, following the film's delay, now opens opportunities for major stars and studios to step in.

As per Box Office Worldwide, Kartik will fight with a snake and will be playing a snake man himself. The actor and director have displayed their command over comedy in their respective projects, and with the movie, they will venture into the relatively unexplored space of creature comedy. Hindi television has famously tackled the theme of Naagin. Now, it will be interesting to see the subject, which was popular in Hindi films in the 1980s, returning to the silver screen.
