Recentlym Kartik opened up about his unceremonious departure from ‘Dostana 2’ and stated that reports about him being replaced in movies had an adverse effect on his family. The actor said that he belongs to the industry and he concentrates on his work and nothing else matters, but for his family, they get worried. Kartik concluded by stating that his work will speak volumes and that if he ever falls short on that front, he will try to improve. The makers are yet to announce the name of the actor who will replace Kartik Aaryan in 'Dostana 2'.

While he lost out on ‘Dostana 2’, Kartik still has a strong line-up of films in the pipeline. He will soon be seen in horror drama ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. He essays the lead in this Anees Bazmee directorial, co-starring Kiara Advani and Tabu. Apart from this, Kartik also has ‘Freddy’ with Alaya F and ‘Shehzada’ with Kriti Sanon.
