Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025: Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra, Anupam Kher, and other Bollywood stars pay tribute to brave Indian soldiers for their sacrifice

Kargil Vijay Diwas is celebrated to commemorate India's victory over Pakistan after a three-month-long battle in Kargil, Ladakh, on July 26, 1999. Today, several Bollywood celebrities took to their social media handles and paid tribute to our armed forces. Celebs from Akshay Kumar to Sidharth Malhotra, Suniel Shetty, Anupam Kher, Celina Jaitly, and many others honoured the sacrifices made by our bravehearts.

Bollywood pays tribute to army officers on Kargil Vijay Diwas 2025

Akshay Kumar, who played a war hero in 'Kesari,' took to his X account and Instagram story and wrote, "Tribute to all those heroes who gave us this freedom and peace, proud feeling." He wrote the message in Hindi and, at the end, added, "Jai Hind."



New dad Sidharth Malhotra posted photos of soldiers and remembered Capt. Vikram Batra, aka 'Shershaah,' in his post that read, "To the countless brave hearts who stood tall so we could sleep safe; sound, your spirit lives on in every heartbeat of a proud and graceful nation. Saluting your sacrifice, today and always. #KargilVijayDiwas."


Suniel Shetty, on his X account, wrote, "The war may be history, but their bravery is eternal. Saluting the courage that echoed through the mountains of Kargil. Forever indebted to the real heroes who gave us victory and kept the Tiranga soaring high with blood, grit, and glory. Jai Hind."

Anupam Kher shared, "On #KargilDiwas #TeamTanviTheGreat SALUTE the #INDIANARMY. Jai Hind!"


Celina Jaitly, whose father, Colonel Vikram Kumar Jaitly, was an officer in the Indian Army, took to her handle to write, "A 1971 war veteran and an infantryman from the Kumaon Regiment, during the Kargil War, although not deployed at the front, I believe he was involved from base control, playing a role in coordination, communication, and logistics. I was a teenager then, and as a daughter, I carry his legacy in pieces, but each one carries immense weight. I saw the weight he carried each day and throughout his life as an infantry man."
