Karan Johar reveals why he chose Ranbir and Anushka for ADHM

'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' (ADHM) is not a love story; it is a film about love, reiterates director Karan Johar. And though the movie seems to be an emotional drama, he says it's really funny in parts you would least expect it to be. The team had a blast shooting for it.
Ranbir says, 'Karan is the coolest director to work with. I am his huge fan. The entire experience of this film is deeply tucked into the shell of my heart.It's just beautiful, and it's something that I hold very dear to me.'
Talking about his fabulous star cast, Karan credits his acting debut in 'Bombay Velvet' for this choice. He explains, 'Had it not been for 'Bombay Velvet', I would have never cast Anushka and Ranbir in 'ADHM'. Off-screen, both of them are buddies and they are super fun. They have a comfort level in their communication and body language. And in this movie, they are more entertaining than they were in 'Bombay Velvet'. They are fun, quirky and entertaining.'
