Kanika Kapoor to be questioned by Lucknow Police on April 30

The Lucknow Police has sent a notice to Bollywood singer Kanika Kapoor to record her statement on April 30. She would be questioned in connection with an FIR registered against her on March 20 in the Sarojini Nagar Police Station by Chief Medical Officer (CMO) Narendra Kumar Agarwal, under Sections 188 (disobedience of an order duly promulgated by a public servant), 269 (negligently acting in a way likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life), and 270 (malignant act likely to spread the infection of any disease dangerous to life) of the Indian Penal Code.

Kanika had reached Lucknow on March 11 after having reached India from London two days prior. She had since attended several social functions in the city and then tested positive for Coronavirus on March 20. She is also accused of not undergoing the 14-day self quarantine after travelling from abroad.
