Kangana Ranaut reflects on becoming India’s Prime Minister: Nobody will want me

Kangana Ranaut has often shared her thoughts on joining politics, in November last year, the actress had expressed, "Shri Krishna ki kripa rahi to ladenge (If Lord Krishna showers blessings, I will fight).” Recently, the actress was asked if she would be keen on becoming the Prime Minister of India. Interestingly, Kangana is already playing former Prime Minister of India, India Gandhi, in her upcoming film, Emergency.
“I just did a film called Emergency. After watching that movie, nobody will want me as the Prime Minister," Kangana Ranaut had shared. The film is Kangana’s first solo directorial and is set against the backdrop of emergency. Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, Shreyas Talpade, Vishak Nair and the late Satish Kaushik will be seen essaying pivotal roles in this movie.

Speaking about Emergency, Kangana had told ANI, "Emergency is one of the most significant and darkest chapters in our history that young India needs to know. It is a crucial story and I want to thank my super-talented actors like late Satish ji, Anupam ji, Shreyas, Mahima, and Milind for embarking on this creative journey together. I am excited to bring this extraordinary episode from India's history to the big screen. Jaihind!"
Emergency is scheduled to hit the screens on June 14, 2024.
