The film, which is set to hit the screen by January 25 next year, has shaped up the way the actress turned director had planned. Talking to a tabloid about the film, Kangana said that the film is

women-centric

not only with its protagonist, but also other women characters. Women played a major role in the warrior queen's army. Ankita Lokhande plays one such warrior called Jhakaribai, who was the queen's advisor and trusted aide,

The cast including Kangana and Ankita was trained by international action director Nick Powell.

The actress shares that she connects to the courage of the freedom fighter. She recalled that though she was obedient as a child, she would take off when she felt the need to break free. A believer of woman power, Kangana feels that the subtle strength of a girl or woman should be acknowledged and not be suppressed.
