Kangana Ranaut and Irrfan were to romance each other in director Sai Kabir's 'Divine Lovers'. Sai had earlier directed Kangana in 'Revolver Rani'. With Irrfan coming on board on this French production, the actress agreed to be a part of it immediately. Since the film didn't take off in the last two years, it is impossible for the actress to give her dates for the project now. The latest news is that the actress has been replaced by
Zareen Khan. Confirming it, Sai says, 'Yes, it is true. Kangana is like a sister to me. Unfortunately, we couldn't work out the dates. She is busy and we wanted to start the film soon.'
Casting Zareen was an impromptu decision for them. He adds, 'She fit the bill perfectly as we wanted a girl with Pathani looks. She will undergo two months of training which will be overseen by Irrfan himself. The film is an adventure comedy and we plan to start shooting in September.'
