For one of the film’s songs, 'Yaadon Ki Almari', the crew decided to shoot at one of Mumbai’s last art-deco theatres and an iconic location, Liberty Cinema. Interestingly, the theater was brought back to life after a hiatus of several years, making 'Helicopter Eela' the first film to feature Liberty Cinema after its revamp and renovation.
A source reveals, “The visuals of the song are based in the ’90s, so liberty cinema turned out to be the best location to shoot this song. On the day of the shoot, Kajol even did a social media live chat with her fans to tell them that she was shooting in the vintage theatre, reminiscing about old days.”
