Kajol expresses her grief after uncle Deb Mukherjee’s passing: 'The price we pay for love'

Veteran actor Deb Mukherjee, father of filmmaker Ayan Mukerji, passed away on March 13 at the age of 83 due to age-related health complications. The late actor, known for his contributions to Indian cinema, was laid to rest at Pawan Hans Crematorium in Juhu on March 14.Kajol, who shared a close bond with her uncle, took to Instagram to express her grief, writing, "Grief is the price we pay for having loved deeply. It never goes away. We just learn to live with it." The heartfelt message resonated with many as she reflected on the lasting impact of loss.Deb Mukherjee was a familiar presence at the Durga Puja celebrations organized by Kajol and Rani Mukerji’s family. His passing was mourned by several Bollywood personalities who arrived to pay their respects. Ranbir Kapoor, a close friend of Ayan Mukerji, reportedly cut short his Alibaug vacation to support the bereaved family. The actor was seen carrying Deb Mukherjee’s body on his shoulders as part of the final rites.

Several industry figures, including Anil Kapoor, Hrithik Roshan, and Jaya Bachchan, were also seen at the Mukerji household, offering their condolences.

Deb Mukherjee, a respected actor from the golden era, was part of several iconic films. On the personal front, Deb Mukherjee was married twice.
