, is all set to play a protagonist in her next Bollywood venture,
Uma
. For the film, the actress travelled to Kolkata as they shot majority of the film there.

But this was the first time that I spent so much time in Kolkata. It was a wonderful experience. I loved the city and its culture. I just loved the vibe of the place. The food was phenomenal. I could experience all of it. It was a very different experience all together. Otherwise, having worked down South, I have become super comfortable here. It is home for me now, in fact more than Mumbai (where she was raised). I have spent my entire adult life between Hyderabad and Chennai.”

Tathagata Singha in the month of July. It was the time period of second wave in India. Talking about the experience, Kajal adds, “We were being supremely careful. We were periodically testing the team members on sets every couple of days. There was someone on set who was monitoring the entire unit. He was in charge of checking temperatures, making sure everyone was wearing their masks and see that people are maintaining the basic COVID protocols and following hygiene.”
