Kainaat Arora reveals Ajith Kumar and Sanjay Dutt once advised her against entering Bollywood: ‘You are too simple, and the journey is not easy’

Actress Kainaat Arora recently opened up about the time she entered the film industry and how her co-stars, including Ajith Kumar and Sanjay Dutt, offered her valuable advice. She also mentioned that her parents were initially sceptical about her decision to pursue a career in showbiz.

In a conversation with IANS, the Lailaa O Lailaa actress reflected on the wisdom shared by prominent actors such as Sanjay Dutt and Ajith Kumar. Both had cautioned her about the challenging nature of the industry.

During the early phase of her career, Sanjay Dutt advised her to reconsider her decision to join films. She recalled how Ajith Kumar offered similar advice during their time together on Mankatha: “Kainaat, you are too simple. You need to be fully prepared because the journey is not easy,” she quoted Ajith as saying.

Kainaat further shared that her parents were initially uncertain about supporting her decision to enter the film industry. “But when they saw my work being recognised, they became more supportive. They’ve always encouraged me to take up performance-driven, message-oriented roles,” she added.

Kainaat also showered praise on her Khatta Meetha co-star Akshay Kumar for his camaraderie and professionalism. “Motivating, funny, and extremely supportive on set,” she said about the actor.

She mentioned learning valuable lessons from Vivek Oberoi, Riteish Deshmukh, Mohanlal, and Gippy Grewal. She revealed that Gippy helped her improve her diction while delivering dialogues in Punjabi—even though she hails from Punjab.
