Jwala files for divorce

In a new development of sorts in the much talked about Jwala-Azharuddin-Sangita story, 26-year-old shuttler Jwala Gutta is now filing for divorce from fellow shuttler and World No. 13, Chetan Anand.
Confirming the news, Jwala said, “Yes, I am filing for divorce.” However, she vehemently added, “My filing a divorce has got nothing to do with the silly rumours about my linkup with Azharuddin.”
Jwala voiced her disappointment over the past rumours and how it’s affecting her.“I am going through a very rough phase in my life. I have always been a very outspoken person, but right now, I am very upset. I can’t go on talking about my personal life,” she says.
The reasons for the divorce, however, will remain in the dark for now. Jwala says, “I don’t hide things, but I’ll talk about the whys and hows only at the right time. Right now, please leave me alone. My family is extremely disturbed with the turn of things. I want some peace too.”
Urging all those who’ve been taking a keen interest in her personal life, to understand her position at the moment, she says, “Please understand I am not in a position to say anything beyond this.”
