The merciless murder of a two and a half-year-old baby girl Twinkle Sharma has left the whole nation in agony. The incident took place in Aligarh, where the girl was missing since May 31st, and her dead body was found in a garbage dump on June 2.
People, in general, as well as celebs from Bollywood, have expressed their anger over social media for the same and have demand justice.
However, filmmaker
Hansal Mehta feels that the discussion over this case has descended into whataboutery and thus, he tweeted, “If you feel so strongly and if you are genuinely concerned please do your thing. Stop using a child's condemnable and heinous murder to draw attention to yourself. Stop using this tragedy to further your 'us' and 'them' agenda. Stop misusing this forum for your whataboutery.”
Post his tweet, on another thread, a number of tweets were exchanged between director Ashoke Pandit and Hansal Mehta. The former accused the latter of not speaking on the tragedy quickly and the latter defended himself.
