’ based on the 1967 Indo-China war, opened up about the current political situation between the two nations. Relations between the two nations, especially on the border, have been tense off late.
China has invaded India in the past and has been trying to infiltrate India again at the Eastern Ladakh border. Right now, reportedly, talks between the two armies are trying to sort out the situation on the border.
JP Dutta, who has earlier presented two iconic films on our soldiers, is now completing India’s biggest war trilogy with ‘Paltan’. The filmmaker is known for his war dramas and he shared his thoughts on the prevalent situations saying, “I have read reports in Indian newspapers, that the Chinese continue to needle India, a year after the Doklam incident. This is not new, they do it to us all the time and our troops face these situations very often. It’s good that the media and the people of our country have begun to take more notice of this issue. Several defence ministers and also Chiefs of Army have said in the past that China is a greater threat than any other country to India.”
One year after Doklam invasion, China intruded 400 meters into Ladakh, just like they did during the Nathu La and Cho La clash in 1967, on which Dutta has based his next film, ‘Paltan’. He’s dedicated the film to India’s armed forces that ward off Chinese infiltration on the North East border.
