After the fiasco of Madhosh a few years ago, John Abraham and Bipasha Basu had decided not to work together again for a while. But now, the two will share screen space in Vivek Agnihotri���s Goal. ���Bipasha and I just didn���t have the opportunity to come together. The offers being made to us weren���t tempting. We feel
Goal is a perfect movie for both of us. I���ve played A-division soccer and was the captain of the football team in school and college. Soccer is in my blood, just like bikes,��� said John Abraham So which one does John prefer? ���Soccer was a favourite in school and I have a fancy for bikes now. I never rode bikes in the school, so football was my passion then,��� John says. As a youth icon John takes his responsibilities very seriously. ���As an actor it���s important for me to be a good role model. Whenever I consider an offer, this responsibility is always on the back of my mind,��� he added. But what about the villain in Dhoom and the smoker in No Smoking? ���When people see the larger picture in No Smoking, they won���t imitate my smoking. My character goes through so many upheavals.��� Interestingly John used to be a smoker. ���I quit smoking but took it up for the movie. I���m strong enough to not become a smoker again. If anything happens to me we���ll all go to hospital together. Everyone on the sets smokes quietly. Since it���s banned on the sets, we sneak into a corner collectively for a puff.���
