. Actor John Abraham, who has worked with the director in ‘Force’, also took to social media to confirm the same.
Taking to his Twitter handle, John wrote, ‘Nishikant is alive. In touch with his doctor. He is a fighter. Please pray for him. Folded hands’

John Abraham starred in Nishikant Kamat’s ‘Force’. The actor received positive reviews from the audience and the critics alike. They have also worked together in ‘Rocky Handsome’ where Nishikant is seen playing a negative role opposite John in the movie.


The director was reportedly admitted to a hospital in Hyderabad on July 31 for jaundice and abdominal distention. He was diagnosed with Chronic Liver Disease and other secondary infections. He was in the Intensive Care Unit for continuous monitoring under the supervision of a multi-disciplinary team of senior consultants comprising of gastroenterologists, hepatologists, critical care and others. The hospital, in their statement, had said that the filmmaker’s condition is critical but stable.

Nishikant Kamat is known for directing

Bollywood

films like the Ajay Devgn and Tabu starrer 'Drishyam', and Irrfan Khan’s 'Madaari'. He has also worked with John Abraham in two films, 'Force' and 'Rocky Handsome'. He had also helmed 'Mumbai Meri Jaan' featuring R Madhavan, Soha Ali Khan, Irrfan Khan, Paresh Rawal and Kay Kay Menon.
