During a recent interview, when speaking about his showbiz journey the versatile actor said that after ‘Mohabbatein’s huge success he continuously worked for 2 years in all kinds of films but most of these films were romantic dramas with easy breezy storylines. As a result, the chocolate boy image got stuck to him. However, he soon realized that the approach to his career needs to be changed because in the next 2-4 years everything will end and the songs will be over.

That’s when he decided to accept films like ‘Haasil’, ‘Munnabhai MBBS’, ‘A Wednesday’ and others. People who were close to Jimmy then started asking why he was picking those supporting kinds of characters after doing solo lead or two-hero films. The actor explains he found these new kinds of roles meatier and they have more for him to evolve as an actor. But he was also concerned whether he was wrong or if he was destroying everything that he achieved. But after all these years, when he looks back the actor feels he was apprehensive and glad that he took that step.

While Jimmy Shergill's film ‘Aazam’, directed by Shravan Tiwari, has already been released in theatres, the dashing actor will next be seen in Ajay Devgn's upcoming film’Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha’, directed by Neeraj Pandey.
