During an interaction with ANI outside the Parliament, Jaya Bachchan was asked about her reaction to Budget 2024.

True to her straightforward nature, she responded with a touch of humor, saying, "I have no reaction; ye koi budget hai reaction karney wala? It is just drama. Promises that are kept on paper will never be implemented."
This no-nonsense reaction from the Guddi actress highlights her skepticism about the feasibility of the proposed reforms.

Aside from her political engagements, Jaya Bachchan recently made a spiritual visit to the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. On July 11, she was spotted with her son, actor Abhishek Bachchan, and daughter, Shweta Bachchan, seeking blessings at the revered temple.
The pictures from the temple visit were doing rounds on social media. In one of the pictures, Jaya Bachchan was seen engaging in a warm conversation with the temple staff, who presented her with a gift. Another image captured Abhishek Bachchan receiving a similar token of appreciation. A particularly striking photo showed the trio—Jaya, Abhishek, and Shweta—walking through the temple grounds, exuding grace and humility.


For the temple visit, Shweta opted for a vibrant red traditional suit, while Jaya chose a simple yet elegant yellow suit. Abhishek complemented the family’s traditional attire with a white kurta pyjama paired with a black Nehru jacket, embodying the cultural and spiritual significance of their visit.
On the cinematic front, Jaya Bachchan was last seen in Karan Johar's ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. The movie was headlined by Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt as Rocky and Rani and had Dharmendra, and Shabana Azmi alongside Jaya Bachchan in pivotal roles. She was highly appreciated for her role as Dhanlaxmi. It was a testament to her versatility and experience in the world of Bollywood.
