Farah Khan recently visited
Javed Akhtar and his wife,
Shabana Azmi's Khandala house, for her new vlog. The trio had a candid conversation with the veteran couple giving the home tour to the filmmaker. And one of the moments that caught everyone's eyes was when the lyricist decided to roast Farah over her Hindi vocabulary. Let's learn more about it.
Javed Akhtar roasts Farah Khan over her Hindi vocabulary
In Farah Khan's home tour of Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi's house, the choreographer-filmmaker can be seen asking the couple about how long they have been married. Shabana Azmi quickly answered, "Ektalis saal ho gaye humari shaadi ko (we have been married for 41 years)."
Confused with the word "Ektalis," Farah Khan asked what it meant. Her question received an amused reaction from Javed Akhtar, who replied, "41! Oh my God." However, the fun part came later. The veteran screenwriter further added, "Hum jo gareeb Indians hain, usse ektalis bolte hain (We, the poor Indians, call it ektalis)." This made everyone burst into laughter.
