Popular singer-actor Jassie Gill is excited about his Bollywood debut in 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi'. In his first Hindi film, not only is he sharing screen space with Sonakshi Sinha, he’s also working with an acclaimed producer like Aanand L Rai and actors like Jimmy Sheirgill, Diana Penty, Piyush Mishra and Ali Fazal. What’s more exciting for this Punjabi lad is that he’s wearing a pagdi in the film.

He says, “Since I belong to a Sikh family, I’ve always been fond of wearing a pagdi. I used to have pictures of popular Punjabi singers on the wall of my room and I used to wear pagdis to look like them. When I started my singing career, in college, I wore a pagdi for a scene in my first music video, I even wore one for my videos 'Bapu Zimidar' and 'Att Karti'.”
Director Mudassar Aziz and the rest of his co-stars used to pull his leg during the shooting, saying that the time he would take to put on his pagdi, would delay the schedule. The young actor didn’t mind at all. He says, “People all over Punjab have really appreciated my look in 'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi' and that makes me proud.”
'Happy Phirr Bhag Jayegi', a Colour Yellow Production presented by Eros International and Aanand L Rai releases on August 24.
