The epic fantasy film 'Baahubali: The Beginning' (2015) and its sequel, 'Baahubali: The Conclusion' (2017), were released in Japan in 2017 on April 8 and December 29 respectively. People showered the film with a lot of love and affection. From cosplay, game cards and designing fan posters to cheering for the film in theatres, 'Baahubali' made an impression on the audience in Japan. Japan critics and fans have hailed the film - the 'Baahubali' series being their first exposure to an Indian fantasy film, they fostered their own unique tribute by making a prototype of Amrendra Baahubali in Japan.
On popular social media platform Instagram, fans shared images showing 'Baahubali' star Prabhas in one of the unique poses from the film. Baahubali broke records during its initial release in April 2017 by collecting Rs 1700 crore worldwide. It was the first film that collected the fastest Rs 100 crore at the box office.
