Janhvi Kapoor reacts to fans’ 'ship' name for her and Shikhar Pahariya, ‘Multiplication ka abhi koi time nahi hai mere paas'

Amid promotions for her new film Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari with Varun Dhawan, Janhvi Kapoor recently had a hilarious moment during a recent interview, and it wasn’t about the movie. Fans tried giving her and boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya a “ship” name, and Janhvi’s reaction was priceless.

Fan tries combining Janhvi and Shikhar’s names

Speaking to Pinkvilla, when a fan suggested a one-word ship name, “Jassi” — short for Janhvi and Shikhar — Janhvi exclaimed, “Jassi? Oh no, I don’t like that. How about Janwar?” Clearly flustered, she added, “No but, arey yaar, mai bohot aise ho jaati hun jab aise sawal unke baare meh puche jaate hai, toh mai nahi answer kar rahi.”

The conversation began with a fan asking about the future. Janhvi laughed it off, saying, “Mein abhi mere life meh bohot khush hoon. Multiplication ka abhi koi time nahi hai mere paas, na jinko aap refer kar rahe hai, na unke paas.” When pressed further, she added, “Headline baan jata hai na phir.”

Past heartbreaks and reunions with Shikhar

Though Janhvi and Shikhar have never officially confirmed their relationship, they’ve often dropped hints. The Ulajh star was seen sporting a necklace with Shikhar's name, and he frequently shares her pictures on social media.

During the promotions of Ajay Devgn starrer Maidaan, Boney Kapoor revealed that Shikhar has maintained a close friendship with the family even during times when he and Janhvi were not romantically involved, praising his ability to keep strong relationships intact.

In past interviews, Janhvi admitted that Shikhar is the only guy she suffered heartbreak from — only to reunite with him every time. She dated Shikhar for years before joining Bollywood, then briefly dated her Dhadak co-star Ishaan Khatter in 2018. After that relationship ended, she got back with Shikhar.
