Remember Ganga, the perky village belle who sported a fringe on her forehead in the film Pardes? Well, the mischievous gal has since evolved and today she proudly plays the role of a doting mother of a lovely daughter, who is a little more than a year in real life.
Married to architect Bobby Mukherjee, actor Mahima Chaudhary is happily living a laid back life to devote all her energies to her tiny tot Ariyana.
And the lady has just no regrets. I am enjoying motherhood to the fullest. Right now my life pivots around my little daughter Ariyana who has showered so much joy in my life. Ariyana is very young and needs full time attention. That leaves no time for frantic shooting schedules, explained the actor who was in town recently to watch a Manish Arora fashion show.
Wearing a short burgundy dress, the actress oozed oodles of charm as she greeted Jaipurites saying she just loves the spirit of the Pink City. I am very impressed by the royalty of Rajasthan. I like their dressing sense, their grand lifestyle and everything else about them. Rajasthan is a beautiful state with beautiful people and no wonder I keep getting drawn to it, echoed Mahima as she cheerfully addressed a rapt gathering in a packed hall at the SMS Convention Centre.
The actress who bagged a Filmfare for her debut performance in Pardes has been in Jaipur before and has left nothing unexplored, be it the locales, artifacts or the cuisine of the state. I loved picking up rings, ghaghras and bangles on my last visit to Jaipur. I am a shopaholic and this city is a shoppers paradise. That made for a deadly combo, chirped Mahima. The actress has never shot in Rajasthan and expressed her wish to shoot for a film in the desert state some day.
Mahima is really not looking forward to films at this moment, unless something very exciting comes up. I will think of acting only if a good project comes my way. Right now Ariyana tops my priority and if I do sign up films, it would be tough to travel with her since she is very young, said the actor who has kept herself busy with endorsement these days. The lady also disclosed that she loves to watch races and would soon be off to Singapore to watch one. I get a kick out of watching car races. Its another matter though I dont drive fast anymore and have completely stopped go-carting, something I really loved to do, because I am much wiser now. I have Ariyana in my life now and cannot afford to do anything careless, said the petite beauty.
And the lady is so entranced by the beauty of Jaipur that she even intends bringing her hubby and her little daughter to the city sometime. I would love to come here on a leisurely vacation with Ariyana and my husband. I am sure they would love the place, said Mahima.
