'Baby John' is an action thriller film starring Varun Dhawan, that released on December 25, 2024. The film opened with a strong box office performance, earning approximately ₹11.25 crore on its first day, but saw a significant decline on the second day, making around ₹3.9 crore. Directed by Kalees, it features Keerthy Suresh and Kajal Aggarwal in pivotal roles.'


In the film, Jackie Shroff portrays the menacing character Babbar Sher, showcasing a chilling first look that has generated significant buzz. His appearance features long, half-tied grey hair, vintage rings, and a rugged face marked by cuts and bruises, perfectly embodying his role as the film's antagonist.

'Baby John' follows DCP Satya Verma, played by Varun, who fakes his death to protect his daughter after a clash with the gangster Babbar Sher, portrayed by Jackie. After Satya kills Babbar's son, Babbar seeks revenge. To keep his daughter safe, Satya becomes "Baby John" and tries to live a quiet life in Kerala. However, when Babbar learns that Satya is still alive, the danger returns, forcing Satya to confront his past and protect his daughter once more.

On the work front, Jackie Shroff will next appear in Vivek Chauhan's action drama 'Baap' and Tarun Mansukhani's ensemble comedy 'Housefull 5'. The latter, which features Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, and Abhishek Bachchan, has completed filming and is set to be released in cinemas on June 6, 2025.
