Jackie Shroff, who is looking forward to the release of his upcoming film, 'Radhe: Your Most Wanted
Bhai
', has now come forward to help lookalike
members
of the film industry. The actor along with businessman Mehndi Raza, and
Archana Sharma
of Woman Power Association, have helped out the members of the
All India Lookalike Association
(
AILA
) with ration kits.
Anil Kapoor's lookalike Aarif Khan, who is the President of AILA confirms the same, adding, "We have received around 125 ration kits which will be distributed to our members immediately. Jackie dada has always been kind to us. He had helped the widow of his lookalike, who passed away last year, and also agreed to help her this time''. He also added a note of gratitude for the Yash Chopra Foundation for helping them out, saying, "We were sent links to fill in the forms. There are some who are tech-savvy and have managed to fill it and are receiving the money. The new members have been left out but we will find a way to help them too''.
These lookalike artists of
Bollywood
, who earn a living by doing shows mimicking actors, have been out of work for the last two years and are now finding it difficult to make ends meet. They have been surviving on the support of good samaritans of the industry. "Our livelihood comes from events which have stopped for the last two years and film shooting is also on hold. Our members are out of work for the last two years and find it difficult to survive,'' he concludes, asking for more help from the industry.
