It’s wonderful being in Lucknow: Yami Gautam

Yami Gautam, who is shooting in Lucknow for her next film 'Bala', had been wanting to see more of the city since she reached there earlier this month.
On Thursday, she got a chance to do just that. The Uri actress took off time from the shoot and went on a Lucknow excursion. From temples to historic places, Yami covered almost all the places in the city.

Braving the scorching June heat, the actress wore a white chikan suit and kicked off her Lucknow darshan from Rumi Gate in the old city.Not wanting to attract attention to herself, Yami saw the monument while seated in her car. Her next stop was the Bada Imambara where she roamed about and admired the historic structure. She then visited the Clock Tower and loving the look of it, clicked several pictures of the monument on her mobile phone.
Having heard a lot about the Mankameshwar temple in the city, Yami’s next pitstop was the mandir where she prayed to the deity and also wrote a wish on paper and put it in the wish box. Afterwards, she was also seen clicking photos with her fans.

We caught up with the Vicky Donor actress at the temple and asked her about her stay in Lucknow so far. "It’s wonderful being in Lucknow. People here talk with respect and elegance," she said. Yami plays a model from Lucknow in the film.
At the end of her city tour she visited the Maa Chandrika Temple on the outskirts of Lucknow.

After her spiritual and historical tour of the city, Yami then went on a food trail across Lucknow. She visited Chanakya Kulfi near the KD Singh Babu Stadium and binged on kulfi and falooda. Later, she had chaat at Shukla Chaat in Hazratganj. As is mandatory for most celebs visiting Lucknow, Yami also shopped for chikan clothes before leaving the city the next day.

The actress put up several pics of her Lucknow excursion on her Instagram handle which she captioned ‘some adventure in Lucknow’. She also uploaded a photo of the Gomti River captioning it as ‘calm and beautiful’.
