Talking about her love for Lord Ganesha, she says, “For me, Lord Ganesha means to be the symbol of intelligence, prosperity, and good luck! I watched all the Ganesh ji cartoons and films as a child- I’ve been a big fan of Ganesh ji. As a kid, when I found myself in a tricky situation, I’d pray to Ganesh ji, and then all the other Gods in a row.”
When asked about the masses celebrating Ganesh Chaturthi during the pandemic situation, she says, “I know people are visiting each other’s houses for ‘darshan’, but I think at this point people should be well aware of the situation of our country, and be thoughtful of their actions on an individual level. And talking about visarjan ceremony, I’m not sure if they are taking place this time, but I’d like to add that there’s a lot of people who get drunk during visarjans! That’s like disrespecting while you’re trying to respect. It’s no party! I’ve actually even heard items songs being played at visarjans which is so disrespectful. And if visarjans are happening this time, I’d advise people to please stay safe.”
