A joint venture of Kapoor and Kaushik Entertainment, the film features songs of all types with Anu Malik composing the music score.What inspired your decision to cast Shilpa Shetty in the movie?Shilpa Shetty, I must say, is a versatile and extremely talented actress.I really liked her work in Dhadkan and have had a good experience of working with her earlier. Keeping these factors in mind, I decided to cast her in Badhaai Ho Badhaai.How was it like shooting for Badhaai Ho Badhaai in Delhi?Delhi is my home. I always make it a point to shoot certain portions of my films in the Capital. We have shot a few songs of Badhaai Ho Badhaai in Delhi and, like always, it was a wonderful experience.Is there any particular reason why you primarily stick to comedy as an actor?If I play comic characters on-screen, it is because I believe that it is very easy to laugh but really tough to make others laugh. Comedy comes naturally to me — in fact, I feel that God has gifted me with a flair for comedy. And I feel great when the audience is in splits on seeing my roles as a comedian. However, I will not restrict myself to just comedy. Soon, I will be seen as a 'negative' character in the movie Raqt.As an actor, who is your source of inspiration?I have always drawn inspiration from Mehmoodsaab's movies. As an actor, he is extremely good at comedy, while having the ability to play a variety of roles. In fact, he has made his mark in 'serious' roles too. Besides, I look up to Kishore Kumar.What next after Badhaai Ho Badhaai?Beyond Badhaai Ho Badhaai, I am directing Boney Kapoor's forthcoming film Dil Chor. Following this, I will direct Subhash Ghai's next release. As an actor, Hum Kisi Se Kum Nahin, in which I feature, was released recently. I also play my part in a movie titled Calcutta Mail.
