It's all a conspiracy, says Manisha

manisha koirala says she has has received a grievous blow. the actress, whose name figures on the mobile phone of a cocaine peddler, naquibullah, was devastated when she saw her photograph on the front page of a newspaper on saturday morning. "i don't care who he is. i am shattered," says the fuming actress. manisha denies knowing anybody by that name (naquibullah).she stated that if she did know him at all: "won't his number figure on my mobile bills then?" the actress, who stars in raj kumar santoshi's lajja, fears that such a report could be very damaging to her career, "especially when i am appreciated for my performance in a socially relevant film," she says. her main fear being that the audience and film- makers would be influenced by such irresponsible reports. and that it could have a negative impact on her professional and personal life. but the fact remains that the peddler did get her number. manisha reiterates: "how do i care?" she asks. "it's not difficult to get a cell number these day. sometime back, i got this weird call from somebody posing as an extortionist. even then the cops let me down by giving out my name to the media. but in this case, just because some crook got hold of my number isn't proof enough to put up my photograph?" manisha fears the further implications of the report as "tomorrow anybody can make my life miserable." the actress has approached lawyer anil menon to handle her case. "he is sure that people will soon forget these reports, but it's difficult on me," she says, and then adds that she is "a self- made person who slogged like a slave to achieve something in life. and i fear that this whole act can smash whatever i have attained personally and professionally." time and again, the actress has been in the news for all the wrong reasons. how does she justify this? she retorts, "it's all a bloody conspiracy against me by somebody. i am sure of it."
