Itll also mark the directorial debut of Pritam Gubbi, the story and screenplay writer of Mungaru Male. And hes quick to clarify that the film is not a sequel to Mungaru Male, but a different love story. So why arent Ganesh and Puja Gandhi a part of this venture, while the rest of the team including cinematographer Krishna, music director Mano Murthy and editor Deepu S, remain the same? When a new cast is introduced, people come to watch a film without any expectations.
But if it stars big names, theres bound to be a lot of expectations. We want people to come and watch our film with no expectations and give us the same support they gave
Mungaru Male then itll do better than Mungaru Male, says Pritam. And why isnt Yograj Bhat a part of the film? Yograj Bhat will always be my friend and guide. When I thought of this film, in addition to doing the story and screenplay, I also wanted to direct it. And Yograj understands that, explains Pritam. The film, in addition to retaining signature features of Mungaru Male like breath-taking cinematography and melodious music, has also borrowed its title from the hit song Anisuthide Yaako Indu. The Haage Summane line in the song became really popular. So the film has been titled Haage Summane... Pyar Ho Gaya, he says. And unlike Mungaru Male whose highlights were greenery, Haage Summane will feature dry lands and backwaters. We will again highlight Karnataka and shoot in Gokarna, Mangalore, Kabini and Honnavar, says Pritam.
