More picsIsha Sharvani has never celebrated the festival and intends to change the status quo very soon.
"I just want to experience Diwali. I have lived most of my life in Kerala in an ashram so I never really got to celebrate Diwali. We would celebrate festivals like Onam but never Diwali," she says.
But, she must have got a taste of the festival in Mumbai where she lives now? "No! I have been a part of Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations but not Diwali.
However, I have heard a lot about the festival of lights. I have heard about how you keep on eating mithais and about bursting crackers," says Isha.
And, she tells us how she plans to celebrate Diwali. "I intend to dress traditionally, maybe in a sari. I will have a lot of mithais, but I don’t think I will go as far as lighting the crackers myself. I am staying at a relative’s place and will be a part of Lakshmi Pujan there," she explains.
