Over two months since the death of actor
Sushant Singh Rajput the CBI stepped in to take over the case from the Mumbai Police and the Bihar Police. Over the past weeks, several allegations and counter-allegations have come to light, but still, reports indicate that the investigating team is still far away from finding out the truth. Amidst the investigation, a new report claims to reveal the statement Neeraj Singh – the late actor’s housekeeper narrated to the police about discovering SSR dead in his bedroom.
According to a report on India Today, Neeraj detailed all that happened on the afternoon of June 14. He alleged that 2 key makers arrived at the actor’s house at around 1:30 pm. As the process was reportedly taking too long, the actor’s friend Siddharth Pithani asked them to break the lock. On completion of the work, the two were paid Rs 2000 by Dipesh and they left.
Neeraj went on to narrate that when Dipesh came back, they opened the door to the room which was pitch dark and that the air-conditioning was on. When Deepesh switched on the light, Siddharth went in and came out quickly followed by himself and Dipesh.
He alleged that the actor was hanging from the ceiling fan with a green cloth around his neck. Following this, he alleged that Siddharth called the actor’s sister Meetu Singh and told her about the death. After that, he alleged that Siddharth asked him to fetch a knife and they cut the cloth. He alleged that Sushant feet were outside the bed while the rest of the body fell on the bed.
It was around the same time that Meetu entered the room and allegedly started shouting ‘
Gulshan tune ye kya kiya?’
He also went on to claim that Meetu asked the men to arrange Sushant’s body properly on the bed.
The housekeeper also stated that he was the one who removed the green kurta around the actor’s neck and that he even tried to resuscitate the actor by pumping his chest but to no avail.
Following this, Siddharth called the police.
According to the statement, the kurta in question was one of Sushant’s that he used to wear while performing puja.
The CBI is currently investigating the case and has collected all the case record data, forensic files and evidence that the Mumbai Police has collected in its two-month-long investigation.
The central agency has also started interrogating those accused and other witnesses in the case.
