We had earlier reported that Madhuri Dixit-Nene has reportedly backed out of
Ayushmann Khurrana’s wife
Tahira Kashyap's debut directorial 'Sharma Ji Ki Beti'. Tahira has been in the news in recent times because of her fight with cancer in which she came out victorious. The woman became a role model and inspiration to many people out there who are suffering from the deadly disease.
Tahira's step into Bollywood was much awaited. It was announced that the star wife will be seen donning the hat of a director with her upcoming film, ‘Sharma Ji Ki Beti’. Tanuj Garg and Atul Kasbekar had officially announced last year that they will be bankrolling the film. Reports were rife that the film will star Madhuri Dixit-Nene and
Saiyami Kher in pivotal roles. However, due to her deteriorating health condition, Tahira had to take a break. The film was to start rolling around April this year, however, failed to take off.
However, Madhuri is no longer a part of the film. Tahira and her team had reportedly approached the ‘Dhak Dhak Girl’ of Bollywood for a mother’s role in the film. Although Madhuri had not signed the project, she had reportedly expressed eagerness in being part of the film. However, she now has stepped back for reasons best known to her.
Recently, Tahira Kashyap revealed in an interview that her film has been delayed a bit, however, the makers intend to make it in the near future. Reports also suggest that
Sakshi Tanwar and Akarsh Khurana were also approached for important roles in the film.
